Packing Checklist

Are you a list maker? Checklists come in handy when there are lots of things to remember, like when you're packing your RV.

Checklist for arriving at RV campsite
  • Level coach, set up wheel locks
  • Extend step, slides
  • Turn on propane
  • Always use water regulator and hook up water
  • Light pilot lights, turn refrigerator on
  • Raise antena
  • Turn water heater on, water pump on
  • Turn on AC/Heater
  • Check all operations of RV
  • Start the grill!

Checklist for leaving RV campsite
  • Secure all cabinets
  • Retract and secure awning
  • Close all roof vents and windows
  • Lower antenna
  • Stow all loose items, hoses, electrical cords
  • Check and secure all compartment doors
  • Turn off all lights and fans
  • Turn off propane
  • Shut off gas pilot lights
  • Turn water pump off
  • Turn Furnace and AC off
  • Unhook water regulator and stow
  • Check lights and turn signals
  • Check tires and engine oil
  • Secure T.V.
  • Set refrigerator for travel
  • Secure any loose items
  • Remove chocks and stow
  • Retract levelers, slides, and entry step
  • Dump tanks
  • Do final walk around your RV
  • Now you’re on your way!
